Terms and Conditions

Please take the time to read the following important information

Licence Requirements

All riders of our motorcycles must be 25 years or over, be comfortable on large engine capacity high horse power motorcycles and have regular motorcycling experience on a similar size and style of motorcycle. NZ Nakeds offer a range of engine capacities from 800 – 1300cc and horse power from 120hp – 220hp.

Each rider must have a full, valid motorcycle licence in their own name from their country of residence or an International Driving Permit (IDP), with a motorcycling endorsement appropriate to the capacity of the motorcycle they will be using. If your licence is not in English, you must obtain a translation approved by the NZ Transport Agency. Contact your local automobile club for further details about obtaining a translation or an IDP.

We highly recommend doing the Visiting Driver Training Programme, this will also help if you are going to hire your own car while you are in New Zealand.

If you pass the tests, get a certificate to prove your skill. You can legally drive in New Zealand for up to 12 months if you have either a current drivers licence from your home country or an International Driving Permit (IDP).

From 1 October 2015 all rental car companies and operators are encouraged to make sure international drivers are adequately prepared for driving in New Zealand and understand the differences to driving in New Zealand. By completing this online assessment (link below) and printing a certificate of completion, signed by you, you can present this to us to show you have taken steps to prepare yourself for driving in New Zealand.
